The CRL Highways Team recently held their 'Safety and Wellbeing Stand Down Day' in the pleasant surroundings of Uttoxeter Racecourse in Staffordshire.
The day included information on future workloads; training support; updates on our Tender Commitments on Sustainability; a Focus on Logistics Planning; advice on Modern Slavery and some interactive activities that the Team enthusiastically bought into.
In addition we had the pleasure of hosting a guest speaker Kathryn Littlewood, author and playwright, who spoke about her poignant and often dramatic story of dealing with mental health issues and her life struggles. This was extremely powerful stuff!
Our Client National Highways was represented by Reg Smith, Safety Manager for the Midlands, who gave a informative talk on safety when using power tools (which is a focus for NH this year), as well as other useful & insightful information.
Thank you to all who attended and contributed to the day. Wishing you all a safe and effective 2024!
