Highways maintains close ‘ links’ to supply chain

Concrete Repairs Supply Chain

Concrete Repairs Limited continues to grow and seek out opportunities and projects that are strong , robust and reliable. To undertake these projects, a varied, competent and reliable supply chain is paramount.

This is of particular importance to our Highways Division given its role as Principal Contractor on many large and technically challenging schemes with multiple activities and an ever changing scope over the 6 year SDF framework .

In order to foster innovation, ownership, and transparency with our supply chain, we recently held our second supplier day event in the pleasant surroundings of Cranmore Park in Solihull.

In attendance were members of our SHEQ, commercial and delivery teams who provided important updates to over 30 representatives from our supply chain.

Topics included;

      • project insights for upcoming schemes,
      • changes in supplier approval process,
      • the importance of clear and concise RAMS, and
      • understanding of commercial aspects under NEC 4.

In addition, we discussed possible social value and volunteering opportunities, and had an engaging discussion around carbon savings and initiatives. This highlighted what the supply chain could do to assist us in lowering our carbon footprint, as well as giving some positive insights into the great strides being made by all involved.

Thank you to the 'team' for their tireless contribution to bring this important and worthwhile event together!
