Leak Sealing & Crack Injection

CRL has extensive experience in injection-based remediation methods across a wide range of infrastructure applications. Working in close collaboration with material suppliers, CRL ensures that appropriate and project-specific injection materials are selected and applied effectively. These injection works are used not only for leak prevention but also for structural consolidation where required.

Capabilities Include:

⦁ Skilled personnel experienced in the application of single- and multi-component resins using various injection techniques and equipment types

⦁ Access to a comprehensive fleet of company-owned injection equipment

⦁ Adherence to documented quality and safety procedures specific to injection works

⦁ Recognised by key suppliers as approved applicators, ensuring material compatibility and technical support

Injection Applications:

• Leak Sealing

CRL applies a variety of injection materials sourced from leading suppliers to seal active water ingress points. Areas of leakage are assessed, causation is analysed, and appropriate materials are selected based on environmental and structural conditions. A wide range of injection methods is employed to ensure effective sealing in even the most complex or high-risk environments.

• Crack Injection

Where leak sealing addresses water ingress, crack injection is used to restore structural integrity. CRL has extensive experience in applying both epoxy and flexible polyurethane resins to fill cracks in concrete structures. Application is guided by on-site testing and project-specific performance requirements.

• Injection Hoses

CRL provides full system delivery for re-injectable hose systems, including installation, testing of flow paths, and injection operations to seal construction joints. These systems have been widely and successfully implemented on major infrastructure projects such as the Melbourne Metro Tunnel.

• D-Wall Injection

Injection works on D-walls are performed to stop water ingress under high-pressure or high-risk conditions. Techniques and materials are adapted to suit localized site challenges, ensuring timely sealing and minimising disruption to overall construction programs.

• Tunnel Segment Injections

CRL has successfully executed large-scale tunnel lining segment injection works, particularly in constrained environments with limited access and ongoing operations. Coordination around existing services, cables, and other trades was managed to achieve outcomes exceeding client expectations, particularly on the Metro Tunnel Project.
