CRL possesses extensive experience in a broad range of waterproofing applications, with significant expertise developed through major infrastructure projects such as the Melbourne Metro Tunnel. The workforce comprises highly trained specialists capable of installing various waterproofing systems, including sheet membranes, liquid-applied coatings, and torch-on membranes, supported by rigorous quality control procedures.
Capabilities Include:
⦁ Installation of sheet membranes such as PVC, PP, TPO, HDPE, and VLDPE, using industry-standard welding techniques and testing protocols
⦁ In-depth understanding of international waterproofing standards and compatibility with multiple product systems and suppliers
⦁ Implementation of documented quality and safety procedures specific to waterproofing works
⦁ Execution of torch-applied membrane systems in challenging environments, including roof and green space applications
⦁ Application of liquid protective coatings via spray, roller, or hand techniques
⦁ Use of high-pressure airless spray systems, operated by trained personnel
⦁ Availability of a comprehensive fleet of company-owned application and installation equipment
Sheet Membranes
CRL is experienced in the installation of both bonded and unbonded sheet membranes, with a focus on applications in the civil infrastructure sector. Unbonded membranes provide benefits such as faster installation and uniform material thickness. Bonded or cast-in membranes are increasingly adopted for their enhanced sealing and durability when compared to traditional coatings.
Torch-Applied Membranes
These systems are suitable for demanding environmental conditions, offering durability, UV resistance, and protection against root penetration. CRL personnel are certified by a range of material suppliers for the installation of torch-on systems.
Liquid-Applied Coatings
Liquid coatings are applied using spray, roller, or hand methods, and are particularly effective in detailed or irregular geometries where sheet membranes may not be practical. Applicators are trained and experienced in handling a wide range of protective coating products.
Joint Repairs
CRL performs remediation of failed expansion and movement joints, including removal of degraded sealants and installation of new, compatible systems. All works are executed with consideration to the original substrate and environmental conditions.
